1. General MUU questions
1.1. What's MUU?
MUU stands for Street Art Museum (Muzej Ulične Umjetnosti) which is a project dedicated to forming a more coherent street art scene and raise awareness about street art and it's esthetic, cultural and social value. See "What is MUU" for more.
1.2. What's this all about?
This website was created to serve as a platform for sharing street art. It's main purpose is to give you tools to publish and document all forms of pieces and actions. You can also create and organise your own collection from pieces you like. Everyone can post and everyone can select and yes you can even follow some people's activities. More active you are more fame you'll grab.
1.3. Why should I publish here?
If you are an artist, here you can document and publish your works. Nothing more nor less.
If you value street art and want to share what you see with others here is where you can help create a referal collection of street art pieces. One that will stay even after the urban landscape changes. This is where we gather and where we seek inspiration, amusement, astonishment.
1.4. Why should I create my collection?
To let others know what you like or to make notes for yourself. Pieces that get more attention will naturally popup for others to see.
2. Site usage
2.1. How do I open my profile?
For opening a profile and becoming a real MUUser all you need i some enthusiasm and a Google or Facebook account. Yes it's that easy. Choose between those two, click login and you are in. Be sure to publish your most favorite street art pieces and become famous for it.
2.1. What is a piece and how do i upload it?
A piece is (as the name suggests) an artwork that you might want to publish here. Let's say you walk the streets and run into a nice mural, make a couple of photos of it, remember where it's located. So what now? It's simple. After you login you can go to the upload page, enter some basic info about the piece, add images, locate it on a map and you're done. You will need a flash player for the upload to work and images shouldn't really be super-super big. Anything under 8mb will go.
2.2. What happens after I upload a piece?
It becomes imortal. After you upload a piece you can add it to your collection but don't have to. It will always be connected to your profile as you have MUUed it, but that's it. Everyone else can view it, add it to their collection, comment on it, like it or be jealous that you've posted it first.
2.3. What's the deal with collections and sets?
Every registered user has a collection. That's supposed to be a group of pieces from the MUU website that you like or want to collect for any other reason. That's your selection, your own private museum. When other users visit your profile they can see what you've collected.
Further, you can organize your collection in sets, which are subgroups, just like on Flickr :-)
3. Site usage (problems)
3.1. How do I log in using Google or Facebook?
Click on the Log in button (top right corner), select either Google or Facebook. That will redirect you to the respective page where you should log in to your Google or Facebook account (if you're not already logged in there). After that you'll be taken back to MUU, logged in and ready to rock 'n' roll.
3.2. I setup logging in with Google/Facebook on the wrong account
You can abandon the account, open a new one and have a fresh start. This is a street art museum, not a bank.
3.3. I've forgotten my password!
Sooory. That has nothing to do with us. Go to Facebook or Google as it's their account you're using to login here.
4. Legal stuff
4.1. I have concerns about something I've seen on the site. What can I do?
If you come across something that is causing you concern you can report abuse through the website. Each piece page has a "report abuse" link which will send us an alert. Please include as many details as possible and we will review the issue and take appropriate action.
4.2. What considerations have been given to copyright?
By submiting an image to the website users confirm that they have full rights to do so, meaning they haven't stolen the image. All images on the website are property of their respective uploaders/owners and if there are any copyright implications regarding those images users should write them up in the description field. Nota bene, this website is about sharing and not stealing.
